A Faith Enrichment Program – Workshop
"UU Worship In Theory and Practice: What's It All About and Why?" - Saturday, April 18, 2015 , 9:00am to 1:30pm, Founders Hall and Sanctuary, light lunch provided.
Whether you are new to Unitarian Universalism or have grown up in the Church, this one day workshop will deepen your understanding and experience of worship. This is also REQUIRED for those who wishing to apply to be a Worship Associate.
Subjects covered will include:
- Basic concepts and terms
- Theological /psychological models of UU worship
- Organizing principles of worship
- Readings and music, including an overview of the history and use of the hymnal
- How to write a short prayer, and much more
Advance registration is not required but helpful for preparation. Child care is available, especially with advance request.
