Spring Conference

The Southwestern Unitarian Universalist Conference Spring Conference is scheduled for April 23 through April 25, 2010, and will be hosted by Community UU Church.

LODGING ALERT!

Due to a computer glitch at the Homewood Suites, some people have been made to believe that there are no more rooms available from our allotment. This is incorrect, there are plenty of rooms left and our rate will be honored through the conference. The safest way to get accurate information is to call the hotel directly. Our special page (linked to below) should also work as of Monday, though calling is a sure thing.

Additions:

The Friday evening Minister's Roundtable will be a moderated panel including ministers from several of our SWUUC churches. The starting point for their discussion will be New UU President, Rev. Peter Morales' "charge" to our congregations: "We can be the Religion for our time." Subsequent discussion will center of the future of our denomination.

A Breakfast Session: A General Assembly Delegate Prep Session

On Saturday morning, from 7:30 to 8:30, prospective delegates and the church leaders who will choose and brief their delegates, will get their breakfast and adjourn to a separate room where Donna Harrison, Trustee from SWUUC to the UUA Board will talk about the issues coming before the body this summer. She will also preview the event as a whole, especially for those who have not attended one. It will be held in Minneapolis, a city well worth experiencing.

Clarification: While there is no specific youth programming, we have included a youth registration rate to encourage young people to participate in our regular programs.
