The 2021-2022 Annual Pledge Drive, “Get Back Better Together” is drawing to a close, while we are still waiting to hear back from a few folks. We want to take this opportunity to report on the results thus far.
We wish to thank everyone who has responded thus far; your pledges will help us successfully transition into the new fiscal year, get back to in-person activities and retain our Consulting Minister, Pastor Kris Cervantes.
We have had 92 respondents, of which 3 have declined to pledge for various reasons. For the 89 who have pledged, the total is at $162,474. 7 of these pledges totaling $3,670 are from people who did not pledge for 20-21, including 5 established Members/Friends and two new people. For the balance of 82 renewing pledges there is an overall increase of 3%. A breakdown of how pledges changed:
- 10 families reduced their pledge by a total of $8,550 ($18,950, down from $27500, a 31% drop). It is significant to note that most all of this reduction was due to changed financial situations among some of our highest pledgers (as opposed to dissatisfaction)
- 20 families pledged the same amount as last year (total of $34,420)
- Very significant: 52 families increased their pledge by a total of $13,168 ($105,434, up from $92,266, a 14.3% increase). We interpret this as a very positive message in response to our appeal for increased pledges – those people who could increase, did.

The above does not reflect 8 members who pledged a total of $12,926 for 20-21. Multiple attempts have been made to contact (snail mail, email, phone calls & texts), many not responding. We have a reasonable expectation that 3 of these families will pledge between $3,500 and $4,000 total.
