Each Unitarian Universalist congregation is autonomous. Each church searches for, calls, and installs its own minister. The Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) is a service organization that helps with ministerial searches and many other aspects of church operation but is not a governing body.

Our church is overseen by a Board of Trustees, which consists of the Minister, the Director of Religious Education, and lay members who are nominated and elected by the congregation. Terms are staggered and vary in length by position, from one to two years. The Board meets monthly to address routine business. Congregational meetings are held twice each year to nominate and elect eligible Board positions, review annual reports from staff and trustees, and discuss and vote on major issues or decisions affecting the church.
