New Director of Lifespan Religious Education: Thomas Earthman

Community UU Church of Plano is pleased to welcome our new Director of Lifespan Religious Education – Thomas Earthman (pronouns They/Them). Thomas is well-known in local UU churches and brings much enthusiasm for the position. A native of the Dallas area and a Unitarian Universalist for the last 24 years, Thomas is in their 5th year as a Faith Development Professional and is on track to start professional credentialing through the UUA within the year. They have studied many areas of religious education for all ages as well as volunteer training and leadership. They have also taken classes and workshops on anti-racism and anti-oppression work both as an individual and as a leader in our faith movement. Thomas currently also serves as a volunteer at the national level on the UUA’s General Assembly Planning Committee. Thomas lives in Denton with their wife and the youngest two of their five children. Thomas enjoys singing karaoke, playing Dungeons and Dragons, and attending to the pets in their house including 2 turtles named Clawd and Vincent.
