The Building Might Close But We Don’t!

While we shelter in place and do our part to mitigate the current health crisis, many of your fellow CUUC members and friends are collaborating to ensure that we can still be together virtually, if not face to face. There are several activities carrying on remotely or online in which you can still take part!

Worship Services: Our Worship Team members have been working hard to record, edit, and post meaningful content each week for our spiritual nourishment. You can access the videos on YouTube through the link on the church website’s home page, or by searching for “Community UU Church of Plano” on YouTube.

Religious Education: At 10:30am on Sundays, gather virtually via Zoom with your RE teachers and helpers for activities. Email reboard@communityuuchurch.org for details. Ask about virtual OWL (Our Whole Lives) – while the group can’t meet for OWL lessons, they can get together online for games and fun instead!

Tibetan Buddhism: Now being offered Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays via Zoom, at 7pm. Visit the church calendar on our website and click on the event to access the Zoom link.

Women’s Alliance: The Women’s Alliance is planning a remote gathering via Zoom for the first Saturday in May. Contact women@communityuuchurch.org for information.

Literary Ladies: Our book and discussion club is meeting as usual via Zoom. Email literaryladies@communityuuchurch.org to find out the current selection and how to join.

Simple Living: Also meeting via Zoom; contact simpleliving@communityuuchurch.org for information.

Community Garden: There are virtual meetings happening, but there’s no substitute for sun, soil, and fresh air! Hands-on garden work is still going on as well. Contact harvest@CommunityUUChurch.org with any questions.
