Domestic violence is perhaps the most inclusive form of abuse in the world. It cuts across every line of race, age, sexual orientation, religion, sex, or gender; socioeconomic background, education levels, and partnership statuses, from dating to married for decades. The bad news is trending worse, due to our current political and cultural climate, compounded by the isolation many households and couples experienced during Covid.
