Legendary American poet Lawrence Ferlinghetti said, “Poetry is eternal graffiti written in the heart of everyone.” Poems might rhyme or not rhyme. They might be just a few syllables long, or so epic in their length that reciting them takes days. They might be sad, or very funny. Poetry is here for all of us, as an “eternal graffiti” to take in as it reflects on the many aspects of life. Speakers Sarah Reiling, Valerie Gomes, Nancy Barlow, and Jeannette Baillie will share favorite readings as well as their stories about encounters with poetry over time. Music will be provided by harpist Leslie Valentincic. Join us for fellowship and insight!
