The Longest Night Service

The jingle and joy of the holiday season can be grating and even unbearable for those of us experiencing grief, depression, pain, and loneliness. The Longest Night Service — previously called “Blue Christmas” — is a place for anyone who’s had a rough day, week, month, year, or life to gather and acknowledge that this isn’t — and sometimes can’t be — the “hap- hap- happiest time of the year!”. By giving space and voice to the pain, we hope to ease its weight; I hope we will part knowing that even as we go our separate ways, we aren’t alone.

Sorry, no video was taken of this service.
