As we approach All Souls and All Saints Days; as the wind begins to bite and the leaves skirl along the sidewalks; as the season and our thoughts turn to impermanence and the precious fragility of life–we gather on this day to honor and remember our losses of the year and beyond. You’re invited to bring a small picture or keepsake in honor of your loved one(s) who have died, as we build an altar of memory and recall the ancient words of Cicero: “The life of the dead is placed in the memory of the living.”
