Speaker: Dr. Kendra Weddle - Guest Speaker
Dr. Kendra Weddle has a Ph.D. in religious studies and was a professor of religion for over twenty years. She recently decided to shift her focus from university contexts to faith communities. As such, she currently serves as the scholar-in-residence at Northaven Church in Dallas and has discovered that she enjoys preaching. She has become a frequent guest preacher at All Peoples Church, UU in Fort Worth in addition to preaching and writing liturgy at Northaven Church.
Kendra loves to be outside (except when north Texas is in the throes of an un-mitigating heat wave) and she especially loves her chocolate labrador retriever, Rue, (and she is happy to tell you about how she came up with Rue’s name). Kendra’s hobbies include reading memoir and fiction and baking. She lives in Irving with her husband, Bryan, and, of course, Rue.
