Speaker: Mihaela E. Plesa-District 70 State Representative

Representative Mihaela Plesa is a lifelong Texan and the first-generation daughter of Romanian immigrants, proudly serving House District 70 in Collin County, including far North Dallas, Plano, Richardson, and Allen. She made history as the first Romanian-American elected to office in Texas.
Now in her second term, she serves as Vice Chair of the Texas House Democratic Caucus and Vice Chair of the House Committee on Pensions, Investments, and Financial Services, and is a member of the House Elections Committee. A former small business owner and legislative director, she focuses on fully funding public schools, reducing property taxes, improving public safety, expanding access to healthcare, and strengthening support for children and families, including securing new investments in Early Childhood Intervention.
Representative Plesa is known for her strong commitment to constituent engagement and active presence throughout HD 70.
