Palm Sunday & the Passion: the Dark Before Dawn

Join Pastor Kris Cervantes as she explores the path of the Passion, from the worker’s gate into Jerusalem, to the vigil and betrayal in the place of skulls, to trial, crucifixion, and burial. Theologian Miguel de la Torre reminds us that the oppressed of the world continue to dwell in the painful liminal space of Holy Saturday, with the longed-for renewal of Easter morning little more than a faint echo on the other side of closed and locked doors. Before we celebrate the bright triumph of the sunrise, we are called to ask how to survive the night in solidarity with those on the margins.
